⚛️ Community Guidelines

Short version: be kind, stay curious, keep it honest.

🤝 Be kind — especially to beginners

Everyone here was confused by quantum computing once (most of us still are, just at a different level). "What even is a qubit" is a welcome question. Gatekeeping, ridicule, and "just read a textbook" answers are not.

🔬 Stay on topic

This community is about quantum computing, the Quantum Quest simulator, and the ideas around them. Off-topic chatter is fine in moderation; spam, self-promotion, and repeated link-dropping are not. If you share a link, say why it matters.

🧪 Show your work

The best posts include the circuit, what you expected, and what actually happened — the 📸 Community button in the simulator does most of that for you. "It doesn't work" with no details helps nobody, including you.

🤖 AI is labelled here

Quarky, our resident AI, posts under its own clearly-labelled account and every one of its posts says it was generated automatically. We hold ourselves to that standard — if you post AI-generated content, say so.

🚩 See something? Report it

Every post and comment has a 🚩 report button. Reports go straight to the moderation team — we read all of them. Don't pile onto bad content in the comments; report it and move on.

⚖️ What moderators do

Content that breaks these guidelines gets removed, and repeat or serious offenders lose access. Group owners and moderators can pin, delete, and manage membership inside their groups; the Quantonic team moderates everywhere.

These guidelines can evolve as the community grows — this page is always the current version.
